"Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens" ("Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror") is a 1922 German silent Gothic horror film, written by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau and Henrik Galeen, and directed by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau, produced by the short-lived Prana Film Studios. The film was inspired by the mythical novel "Dracula", by Bram Stoker, which was even banned because of its resemblance, besides becoming a cult work in horror films and cinematography in general.
Synopsis.
A real estate broker needs to sell a castle owned by the eccentric Count Graf Orlock. The Count, in reality, is a millenarian vampire spreading terror in the Bremen region, and is interested in Hutter's wife Ellen.
