“Gloomy Sunday“ (Hungarian ‘Szomorú vasárnap’) is a song written by Hungarian
pianist and self-taught composer Rezső Seress in 1933, and popularized by Billie
Holiday in 1941. A song that boasts an extremely disturbing urban legend, as it
is said that the composition has been related to the suicide of multiple people
throughout history, being even banned by the BBC for decades.
