“Le Manoir du Diable“ (”The Devil's Mansion") is an 1896 French silent Horror and Fantasy film, directed and produced by Georges Méliès, under the French production company Star Film. Presumed lost until 1988, when a copy was found in the New Zealand Film Archive, the film is considered to be the first horror film in history.
