It is well known among fans that the sixth installment in the “Scream” franchise originally featured Sidney Prescott in a brief role as a protective guardian, before financial problems arose between actress Neve Campbell and production company Spyglass. While the character's involvement was eventually dropped completely, an earlier version of the filming script still featured a brief cameo by the veteran Final Girl.
